I had a lot of fun doing these Spongebob Squarepants sugar cookies. These were for a friend’s granddaughter’s birthday.
Just like when I was asked to make Beyblade sugar cookies, when I was asked to make Skylander sugar cookies for a little boy’s birthday I had no clue what the Skylander game was. Thank goodness for the internet! I decided to do the 8 elements and then 4 of the characters. These Skylander character sugar cookies were some of the more complicated designs I’ve done. But it was fun to see if I could really do it!
Here is a sugar cookie bouquet I did for someone to give to their sister who works as a flight attendant for JetBlue and who loves Paris. I borrowed the design of the dog from Sweetopia.com.
I had someone ask me to do sugar cookies for their son’s 7th birthday. Our conversation started off by her asking “You can do anything as a cookie, right?” I was a little hesitant to answer that question, so I gave my standard answer of “I will do the best I can”. She said her son was really into Beyblades. I had never heard of them and actually what I heard the first time she said it was “blahblahs”. I had to ask her several times and she said they were a kind of “top” that you spin. Now I know what tops are – no problem, I can do a top cookie. Well, I eventually asked her to spell it for me so I could google and see exactly what they looked like…… yeah, what I was picturing in my head was not even close to what they actually are. Now, you may now what a Beyblade is, but it was new to me. Here is a picture of a Beyblade: It was fun trying to create this toy. Here’s what I came up with: Hopefully this little 7 year old will like his cookies.
Well, it’s been a while since I posted last – a lot of things have happened and one of those things included someone’s birthday. My sister was visiting and decided to take a cookie bouquet back for her daughter that was having her 35th birthday. We decided on cupcakes and balloons. Because she was flying I made the cookies, packaged them up for her and she took them home and assembled the bouquet herself. She did such a great job that I told her she was hired! Now, if I can only get her to move here and take the job. Here is the picture my sister sent me of the bouquet all put together.
